![]() Like, would it even be worth it for me to move to 16:8? That's what I actually want to know. I've seen some great results just by CICO. Leaves me thinking exactly how IF would benefit me, if I am acutely aware of the calories I'm taking in (even though I've been practicing 12:12 for a very long time now). I do have 14 minutes left, but I found it strange. Sure, IF affects insulin levels and it can make it easier to eat less within a limited period of time, but is this mainly psychological? What if someone determines that they should eat a certain amount and just constantly adheres to it? No matter what? I feel that this speech constantly dismissed that possibility, and just went "not everyone can lose weight that way because of hormones." The whole argument he's presenting is that hormones are as important as the energy consumption and expenditure, but the point of discipline keeps getting ignored. Adam It is not an absolute contraindication but you need to speak with your own doctor. He literally says "counting calories doesn't work, we know that" at around the 34:10 timestamp. Since cream and regular milk can break a fast, half and half can. The confusing thing here is that CICO keeps getting dismissed, even in this speech. Half an half in coffee breaks your intermittent fast. I would certainly consider myself to be addicted to sugar/carbs.ĭrinking coffee was not an issue at all for me btw, I actually even thougt it helped me to keep my appetite down I do feel our society pushes people to eat too much, 3 meals a day are just nonsense and it turns people into carb addicts. again something he says in that video which makes a lot of sense to me. of course after I started eating as usual I got more hungry. For me, that little bit of cream does not stop me from getting the results that I desire. Anecdotally, I use cream in coffee during fasts as well. We simply don’t have enough data to support a conclusion. In the months after that I upped to fasting to the point where I ate 2-3 meals a week and I lost 50 pounds over the course of 4 months. First, let me start by saying nobody knows the answer for sure. ![]() Instead of asked "what should I eat today" I started asking "do I need to eat at all?" the more I worked out, the less weight I lost, super frustrating, what he says in that video makes so much sense to me.Ĥ years ago, after a botched wisdom tooth removal, my teeth hurt so much I could not really eat for a week.ĭuring that week I realized I did not get more hungry at all, and I felt less tired and more focused. I have tried so many diets over 20 years and nothing worked.
